Interface
Device-only display choices that are not part of saved themes.
Scale text across every workspace while keeping headings and labels in proportion.
Thicken the outlines around panels, buttons and fields so edges are easier to see, or set 0 to hide them.
Slim keeps the controls in one pill; Classic uses the full composer.
Show equations in the accent colour.
Keep create icons visible instead of revealing them on hover or focus.
Enter fullscreen. Hold Esc to leave.

Lesson Studio keyboard shortcuts

No Lesson Studio commands match that search.
Lesson Studio bindings cannot duplicate a Canvas or Python binding. Shortcuts pause in text fields, dialogs, Settings and the lesson player.
Workspaces
Start with the essentials, then reveal more ways to create as you need them. Hiding a workspace tidies the quick-create rail and Library; it never deletes your work.
Classes

Choose a saved class to edit, or start a new one.
Only the class name is required. Managing a class does not move or rename lessons.
AI

Show the assistant beside supported workspaces. Turning it off leaves every non-AI tool available.

Website access
Choose whether websites open interactively by default or only after individual approval.
Open links entered in Web directly in interactive Page view without approving each public HTTPS website. Local and private addresses remain blocked, and sites that refuse embedding switch to Reader.
Interactive enables the approved site’s buttons, forms and media. It cannot read Lesson Studio data or navigate the app.
Approval applies to the exact website name. Change it to Reader or remove all permissions at any time.
No websites are using Interactive.
YouTube and GeoGebra are built in and load only after you select Start activity.

Library & saving
Your library holds all your content, lessons and courses.
How libraries & courses work
One library, all your work
Create content in the workspaces, arrange it into lessons, then curate lessons into courses. All three stay in your library, alongside resources and AI chats. Use Library Manager to organise or recover individual items.
Choose where to keep it
- On the web
- Work is kept in this browser on this device. Save a library file regularly: clearing browser data can remove your work. A saved file does not update itself.
- On desktop
- Work can stay in local app storage. Link a library folder for lasting saves; auto saving updates it as you work. With auto saving off, use Save or close Lesson Studio to save to the linked folder.
- As one file
- A library file (.library.json) holds the whole library for backup or moving between web and desktop. Opening it switches libraries. On desktop, the next save asks which folder to keep it in; the original file is left exactly where it is.
Publish a course for students
A course file (.lsc) is the published part of your library: one course, its lessons and the content they use. Other work, resources and AI chats stay private. Build the course in the Library, then publish a course file for the student viewer.
Keep a published course in the cloud
- Publish the course file and place it in a OneDrive or Dropbox folder on your computer.
- On desktop, choose Sync course and select that published file the first time.
- After editing your library, use Sync course again to update the same file. Your cloud app uploads the changes.
Sync updates the published course when you ask. It does not sync your whole library or merge edits from other devices.
Import, open or export?
Import adds selected shared lessons or content as new copies in the current library. Open library switches the whole library. Export Manager saves individual items in other formats. Published course files open in the student viewer.
Your library
Keep a library file as your own copy of everything.
Updates the linked folder as you work. When off, save manually or on app close.
Open or start another library
Switches the whole library. Save any changes before leaving.
Open a single-file copy from the web or a backup.
Share a course
Publish one course and the lessons it uses. The rest of your library stays private.
A course file is a separate copy for students.
Recovery copies
Local recovery copies can help after an unexpected close. Keep a library file or folder for lasting storage.
Clear local data
Remove local libraries and recovery copies. Save anything you want to keep first; unsaved work will be lost. Saved library files and folders stay on your computer.
Export Manager
Take an individual Library item with you, in a format that works outside Lesson Studio or as a Lesson Studio file another library can import.
